- Ok, in x.234 beta is possible at least to connect to other friends in Music01 with good speedrate (320|PLS|), but if I clic connect user browser link, MJB must be off because in other case it came in first view but nothing more, no connection to server for library. Firewall on or off, Win XP Pro Ita or W98Se ita (clean system & MJB install)is the same; I've tryed multiple or single raspppoe connection, M.01 server and MJB config. I must close MJB.
A question, are server v.7.280 & v.8.0.234 compatible? Please let me know if you can.

- In JB 'Web Media' we have always lost the usefull functionality to search Radios i.e. by cable/dsl, without find thousands of 7-16K stations. A big lost.

- Plug-in manager works nice.

Bug:
1. If you re-arrange tracks in Playing Now while a track is playing, the blue text highlight for the current track does not follow the currently playing track...the speaker icon follows, but not the blue highlight...see:

Download Manager Requests:
1. Remember column sizing and positions...so you don't have to continually adjust the columns the way you want them every single time you start the Download Manager.
3. Ability to re-arrange the order of the columns via drag-n-drop movement and remember where they are.
2. Some hot-keys like Delete to clear the currently highlighted download files.

Finally - my problem with MJ saying there is no disk in my burn drive has been cured in this release. Thank you!

However, MJ still doesn't inset ALL song titles - Leaves out 1 to 3 titles typically for me. Haven't been able to narrow it down as to why.

wanted to convert some wav-files to mpc using the convert function, and built in encoder.
It starts to encode allright, but in the middle of the process, MJ freezes and locks.

Uninstalling Arsenolite still leaves it showing up in the pop-up menu on internal view. Vis studio vanishes also.

Proxy Server Settings : This isn't saving my username & password. I'm constantly having to enter it in when I have MJ do something online. I don't think it's every time, but it sure seems like it sometimes.

The tab order is also a bit off. It goes from Username to Password, skips Domain, and hits the two command buttons and then back to Domain.

Playback : MJ crashes when I play a 2 APL yadda yadda same APE, blah blah...

MJ8 seems to have a problem adding RGA data to MP3 files. If I rip a CD to MP3, the open properties on the ripped files, do analyse and save, the RGA data doesn't get saved. I have to open properties, save, then open it again before analysing. I'm guessing it's to do with ID3v3 data being created, but I've got both set to "Save (create if necessary)" so I thought the ID3v2 tags should be created at rip/encode time. Even so, shouldn't MJ be saving the RGA data in the library as well as the tags?

Just ripped Röyksopp - Melody A.M. with the naming rule
ARTIST - ALBUM - TRACK - NAME

There's a track on there called
40 Years Back \ Come
So MJ kindly made a directory called
Röyksopp - Melody A.M. - 10 - 40 Years Back
and called the file in it, Come.mp3

I'm thinking backslashes ought to be added to the list of characters that get translated into spaces for naming rules.

ZRocker,
Sorry about the delayed response, on the road quite a bit.
I've tried a few, but here is one I've tried very often:

Download Manager clears the list when reopening. I think it should keep all entries until you remove/clear them. Resume All should be added to the main menu at the top with the rest of them.

When downloading in Download Manager, if you change the fragment d/l number, it shows a negative kb/s. Went to a lower number.

Had the first lockup, while in Full Screen watching and listening.
While MJ was open, IE was messed up and WinAmp was as well.

Closed MJ, but on subsequent attmpt to open it locked up my PC.

MJ uses a lot of time analyzing devices when it is not necessary. Seems like this problem may have been mentioned previously - if it hasn't well, it has been now. If it has been mentioned previously, make this a confirming note.

CD-Text Reading by MJ8:

I can write CD-Text with MJ8 correctly, but MJ
does not read the text properly.  It's missing
2-3 song titles on a CD.  I can see that the
CD-Text is written correctly using a Plextor
utility on a Plextor drive.

Is it possible to use a different label printing program from another v8 Beta build? If so what do I do and what do I watch out for?

I simply cannot use the label printing program that came with MJ8.0.234. Main reason that I'm not allowed to change Album/Artist name before printing.

There's a new wizard option called "CD Info" where you can change the Artist and CD title and also modify or add track names if you like. You can also choose to not print the artist name for each track in a track listing.

Media Jukebox 8 has become pretty much unuseable to me in the recent beta builds.  I get constant crashes in mjplayer.dll, and error messages about "memory can not be read" when a track ends and it is supposed to play the next track.  I am running under Windows XP Pro.

Why, when I right click on things (files, playlists, media views) does MJ pop up a box saying "Analyzing Devices"?

Since there is no more "PLUS" version of MJ, does it make sense to change the Startup Page (PLUS FEATURE) text to just Startup Page?

Converter Settings : Everywhere in MJ we are allowed to use a template for naming/directory creation, except for the converter which only allows Artist/Album. Any chance of getting this changed?

Converter Settings : What do I do if I want both the original and the new format added to the database? Currently, I'm only allowed either one or the other without importing the new ones or reimporting the old ones.

From ME to XP Pro I always put an alias of my computer in the Start menu to have full access to my HDs, a confortable option, but if I enable Media Jukebox Shell Integration, I can't anymore open deep HD folders by computer alias.
