Configuring remote control to work
« on: June 28, 2013, 11:25:53 am »

Hi I'm Ed, totally new to forums so please bear with me. I have a Creative RM-1500 remote which is a USB IR Receiver HID device. Under options/remote I have checked remote, keyboard, gamepad, or other HID. Says (Active). No luck. Tried other selections with no luck but this seems like the one I should use being HID. I also try using Intelliremote version 2.8.4.922 with the JRiver profile loaded. When I run USB HID tester it says everything is working. I'm sure there is just some boxes that need checked like I had to do to get DSD to play. By the way I am running JRiver MC 18.0.194

I found out that the "Previous" and "Next" buttons work on the remote. However "Play/Pause" are the ones I need for when the phone rings. Come on, any help out there?

We haven't heard much from Creative RM-1500 users, so we might not be a lot of help.

Does the Creative RM-1500 have its own software?  If so, can it catch buttons and send commands like "MC18.exe /Pause" on the command line?  More on the command line here:

Have you enabled the learning function?

That's what works for me.
