Sample rate stuck at 44
« on: July 16, 2013, 02:02:52 pm »

Hello all, new jriver interact user. I have an Ayre QB-9, MacBook Pro, running the latest release of JRiver (207) and MacOS. I have been through every Audio Midi, Sound setup on the Mac and any and all setups on JRiver Mac, but cannot get the sample rate to adjust to my input. The Ayre shows that everything is sampled at 44. Curiously, when playing an AIFF file with iTunes the Ayre showed 192.

I use only FLAC. Files are a mix of sample rates from Magnatune, burned from CD using XLD and various artist sites.

Does JRiver not adjust the sample rate to match the source file?

You can configure the output sample rate (per input rate) in DSP Studio > Output Format.

On Mac, if a sample rate is not supported but a different sample rate works, MC may auto-configure this for you.

Once you have playback working, you can always use Audio Path to make sure everything is happening like you expect:
