Equalizer presets
« on: July 17, 2013, 12:37:48 am »

Using MC 18.206 on Windows 7/64.

I am trying to make, save, and recall a custom equalizer presets (the 10-band graphic equalizer, not the parametric equalizer.) Is this possible?  If not, what is the "+" button for?

I can recall any of the JR-supplied presets (e.g., "Flat"), and they work fine. I can recall "Custom," but changes I make are saved only approximately. (I'd expect better than 0.1 dB numerical precision out of floating-point arithmetic.)  Sometimes, changes aren't saved at all, but I haven't figured out why. Nor can I figure out how to make a new preset, save it, recall it, change it, and save it again.

Help?

Set the equalizer how you like, then type in a name, and click '+' to save it.

Later, pick the preset from the list to load it.

Thanks. It seems impossible to modify a preset and save it to an existing name.  Correct?

(As soon as I type an existing preset name in the box, the old settings come up.)

That sounds like a bug.  We'll take a look.

For now, pick it, hit '-' to delete it, then save again.

Thanks, Matt.  It would be great to have this work better!
