I want to record to MP3 format but it will
not let me.  Then it asks if I want to download the plug-in but it still does
not let me choose MP3 after downloading
the plug-in. Please help; am I missing a
step?  I use version 7.1

Wow. You might want to upgrade to 7.2. The plug-ins on the web site probably won't work with 7.1.

Plugins will work with 7.1.  But you need a paid version of MJ to use MP3 encoding after 30 days.
