Is this supposed to work with Media Center?

All I end up with is a scrambled SD Card.  Syncing worked perfectly before MTP was imposed in Ice Cream Sandwich.  I don't have an option to revert back to USB Mass Storage Mode.   

Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch (Sprint).

I'm using Media Center 16 on Windows 7 x64 with FLAC audio files.   I know I'm behind but I don't have time to upgrade multiple machines so frequently..  I've already paid for 17 but haven't upgraded it yet.. Now there's 18.. I'm having trouble keeping up.

I see several posts about problems with MTP and Media Center but no responses..

Just trying to learn if this should be working with MC, or not?   And if so get some help possibly?

I see a number if similar issues on this forum but no real definitive response.

I would really love to be able to sync some songs to my phone using MC without having to remove the SD card.

Samsung S3 - MTP transfers the files but have issues with playlist content & how the music player on the phone catalogues the files.
Google Asus Nexus 7 - MTP works.  Content on device is fine

Should note that both devices are using internal storage, not SD

Will provide OS versions later on.

What about support for SD ?   There's not much point in having SD unless it can be used for syncing.

File sync itself will work on MTP or USB mass storage usually without a problem.

Playlists will not work correctly on MTP most likely because the metadata does not populate into the resulting .pla file

this is likely a direct result of sync implementation designed for USB mass storage (which was once and still is a very popular protocol for handheld audio devices that AREN'T phones) that has not been updated to support MTP standards.

for SGS3 users that are willing to give rooting the device a chance... enables USB storage for external SD card.
