Hi, newbie again, this is the same problem I had earlier this year.  I bought a new Airport Extreme, configured it to "create a new network" and have been trying to connect it to my PC laptop, Windows 7, JRiver 18, and JRemote 2.41.

It as working on my regular home network, but not consistently.   I have the laptop on the net via ethernet, and the iPad and laptop are also connected to my Airport extreme.

Do I need to also hook up the AExtreme to the home network via ethernet?

This always gets the best of me.
