Server problem

Yet more odd behaviors
I start MC, then quick start the media network servers.
Select an album and try to play…  nothing happens.
So I then re-start it all over again but this time it's stuck half way between running and not.
IOW the progress bar starts moving to the right, gets about 5 seconds into the track then skips back to the start, and all the while the countdown clock never even starts.
I quit and restart again with the same results.

The 'stop' button has no effect.  I try to remove the track from the player window to no effect, and the track returns after the restart.

I'll try the restart my computer and my router next.
