a problem with analyze audio from an ifo/vob movie
« on: September 28, 2013, 07:36:58 am »

i have one Music Video where Audio analyze does not work. it does not give an error, but hangs at 0% for hours, until i stop it. Normaly i rip my movies too MKV, only when i there is a reason to not too i rip too ifo/Sub. and i think, in this case, there lies also the Problem for the Audio analyzing. ist from the DVD guitars from McCoy Tyner and there are several angles to watch the same stuff. so the files are equally big (see attached screenshot from mkv), and i think mc does not know what to choose to analyze. :)

and if that is right, i guess it would be nice if mc would or skip, or pick one. :)

thanks

In a Blu-ray, MC will always analyze the title and audio track that is selected during playback. If you want multiple titles/tracks analyzed, then you have to add library entries by creating Particles. I would think that mkv would work the same way. Perhaps try playback first from the file to set the Playback Info tag and then analyze.

I have 40 DVD rips (ifo) that won't analyze.

MC will note an error for ten of them then give the message
"The last several files have caused errors. Processing has been halted"

For most of them MC shows the duration as blank.
Three of them are dvd-audio rips(ripped as regular dvd's without all the extra audio stuff) and duration is shown.
One of them plays very choppy and pixelated in MC and duration is shown. Except for this one all play fine in MC.

I also have 3 avi's that won't analyze. RO standard and HQ won't play them either.

After upgrading to 19.0.82 the video plays and analyzes fine.
I imagine because of

Fixed: Videos with WMA audio could sometimes fail to analyze and play

Still no luck with the duration free ifo's.
