Questions re upgrading to 19 from 18

I have version 18.

I backed up my MC library.

I downloaded version 19.

I then restored my library in version 19.

Everything seems to work OK.

Questions:

1. To use version 19 I did not have to pay anything and my registration details are shown (I purchased version 18 about a month ago).
Is this correct?

2. Are the settings from version 18 carried over to 19?

3. Do I now delete version 18? If so, how?

You have an MC19 Mac license.

When you restore your library, it will ask if you want to restore your settings.

To uninstall a Mac program, I think you can just drag it to the trash.

I don't recall 19 asking to restore my settings when I restored my library.

Any way to check this?

By default that option is enabled, see attached screenshot.
