Output device changes by itself!
« on: October 17, 2013, 12:01:08 am »

Hi All,

This has happened twice now.

If I go to Audio to check the settings, and without touching anything, I have seen the output device has changed from "audio device" to "pass-through".

I can't imagine what I might have done to cause this ...... any ideas?

I never alter the output side of things ...

Cheers.

what kind of audio device do you use? could it be that it is disconnected when you start mc up? I don't know if that would reset the audio setting. just an idea.

Yes it will do that, especially with HDMI devices. An HDMI handshake issue can often cause the default Windows Audio Payback Device to revert to some other onboard controller like a SPDIF output.
