I have tested the Access Key stuff and have the same problem.
OSX Mavericks, MC18 and 19 running on same mac.
MC19 would not take my licence key for most of today and burned through several restores (as per this thread - http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=84642.0). I had an active internet connection throughout.
I finally have managed to get it registered but now I get the "there was a problem checking for updates" as well as "Library server can not be registered with JRiver" when trying to set up Media Server.
MC18 will update but reports that Media centre has failed to start - some sort of port conflict.
On another mac, on the same network, that is running MC 19 I get no problems with Media Server registration. That Mac is running 10.8.5
I haven't made any other changes to my network other than installing Mavericks on the first Mac.
What should I do
Don't want to break my main MC installation so I guess I need to hold off on updating to 10.9?

Can't connect to library server (on windows, v .60), I don't know if it was the mavericks update or the MC .60 update, anybody else having that problem?? I also want to know the path of the MC settings on mac, I want to delete them and star fresh :)

Same for me, cannot connect to library server. Machine is still on Mountain Lion. Have gone back to .55 and all working ok.

Mavericks may have caused some network issues.
