UPNP, DoPE and DSF files

Hi

There was some issue (Big "noise" between DSF files) with UPNP server for DSD files in DSF format on Windows JRiver 18 (DoPE enabled).

This issue was solved in version Windows 18/212 (I do not know exactly from which version).

See http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=81927.msg558429#msg558429

This issue still exists in JRiver for Mac 18/219 and 19/65

Kind regards

Hi Thierry,
I am also hoping for this option; play DSD via dlna on the fly to PCM Dac.
I also brought it up and According to JRiver it might be implemented when many request are for this option are out there.

ThierryNK:
My post is not about this possibility. And what you ask for is already working
But not to a DAC (that does not include UPNP) but to a network player.
Configure for converting to PCM 24/176 and see.

I had to configure 2 UPNP servers: one for this DSD to PCM conversion (for my S5 that does not support DSD) and a regular one without conversion. Because I do not want "all" tracks (PCM) to be upsampled (or downsampled) to 24/176.
To have the choice of what type of files one wants to convert would be a nice and useful feature.

Sorry, this is a real mystery for us since we can't reproduce it and can't think of any changes we've made that might introduce noise between the tracks.  If we could narrow it down to one build that produced (or removed) the noise we can look very closely at just the changes for that build and might be able to find something to test.  If you have the time, you could download and test builds until you get to the one that introduces the problem (or corrects the problem).  You said that the noise is not present in build 18.0.212 and then it's back in build 18.0.219.  The intermediate builds are available here:
