DSP Studio conversion rates
« on: June 17, 2014, 07:53:31 am »

Would it be possible to add 352800 and 384000 to the list of options to control conversion, where it now says above 192000?

The reason is that for down conversion of these high sample rates I preferably would like to bring 352,8 down to 88,2 and 384 to 96 but currently that is not an option.

Not that I believe it matters much its just that I think its better to divide and multiply by whole numbers instead of fractions.

Thanks for considering.

Or to simplify things - perhaps add an option which does just that?
Automatically downsample to 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 etc. based on the input? (2xDSD currently plays back at 705.6kHz)

That said, I have not encountered any audio which is 384/768, only multiples of 44.1 or 1/2/4x DSD.

Where do you even get content with those sample rates?
Only stuff I know thats above 192000 is DSD converted to PCM, which is always a multiple of 88.2, AFAIK.

Some sites are offering higher sample rate DSD recordings. https://justlisten.nativedsd.com/albums/just-listen-1-compilation
There are a few Asian labels offering higher sample rate DSD downloads too: http://www.e-onkyo.com/music/

Next build:
Changed: Sample rate conversion can specify different values for 352,800 and 384,000 input sample rates.
