Media Center 19.0067 first look and bugs

(1/2) > >>

Cedric D:
hi, I'm a happy user of media center for several years on windows :). yesterday, the new macbook 2013 arrived at home and the first thing i did was installing media center. however there are major bugs on mac and its pretty hard to use the software.

- on the retina display the interface looks very washy. its really hard to read (i added a screenshot)
- i can't import my library because of a backslash issue in filename(path). you can see it in the screenshot also
- drag & drop is missing
- alt & enter doesn't work
additionally MC is slow/lags and it crashes a lot

these are the first findings on the mac mavericks

regards

We've got a major enhancement for retina displays in the works.  Please stay tuned, it shouldn't be too far off.

We'll take a look, thanks.

Noted.

What are you trying to do with it?

This deserves a separate post, could you do a post with some details on the lagging and crash and send us Media Center logs and the Mac crash report following a crash? Thanks.

Hi,
thanks for the reply
as soon as I can import my library I'll purchase the mac version

When I open the context menu for a mp3 file and choose "Tag" there is a shortcut saying "Alt + Enter". Unfortunately Alt + Enter doesn't open the Tag editor
Maybe its part of the menu, because I imported the library from Windows?

As soon as I get enough reports I'm going to open a post for it

I get the same look on my non-retina display.

Hi, I was trying to import my windows collection with the latest versions (x.72), but I have been blocked by the backslash again:
My procedure is:
- import collection from windows
- go to tag edit
- type new file location
- confirm new location

as soon as I leave the file location field MC19 adds a back slash on mac, which makes the new path invalid.

I would be really happy if it could be fixed. I guess its just a little change by replacing a "back slash" with a "slash" in the code. but it would let me import my existing files including import date

Regards
Cedric
