Why does it only support max res of 720p? The picture looks awful close up off a 1440p monitor. :(

  • Requires "iTunes or better" so I installed JRiver

Today's build release 19.0.67 fixed some YouTube stuff. You could try it.

Do you have set in Tools > Options > Services > YouTube set to use the highest playback bitrate?

Hi Mojave,

I have Youtube in JRiver set to the highest video setting and there's no difference at all with .67, i'm still seeing at max 720p streams and I've tried an whole range of full Hd content.  1080p/1440p plays fine in Chrome so it's definitely a JRiver issue.  The video information says it's streaming at 420p/720p. Surely other people are bothered by this too or is it just me? I was hoping to use JRiver with the dsp settings as an alternative to Chrome, and as of the current build I though you would of sorted this out.

It's not a bandwidth issue as I'm using Virgin Media's (Uk) 120mb internet plan.

Other than the Youtube drawback, Great app.
