what's the secret to Bluetooth connectivity?

My Bluetooth speakers and headcans connect to iTunes, but do not want to connect with MC19(?)  What's the secret??

Sennheiser MM100 headphones.  The computer (MBA, OSX10.9) indicates that the MM100 is connected, but MC music contiues to come out of the computer's speakers.

Is the MM100 listed in Tools / Options / Audio Device in Media Center?

I believe I did see there, but selecting it didn't work.  I didn't explore that avenue much further, thinking it should work as easy as it does with iTunes(?)
