Two "New" TrackInfo Templates
« on: March 07, 2002, 07:03:30 am »

Here are a couple of TrackInfo Templates I "made". I modified them from the Dreamstate and DJ templates that came with MJ.
Two things of note that I did with these.

1. I moved all of the info that I use on to one display so that I don't have to jump to 3 or 4 different pages to see what I want. Others may like more info than this, but this is really all I'm interested in. (general song information, rating, and lyrics)

2. I included a little javascript I wrote that will automatically resize large cover art images down so that they don't scroll off the screen, but it won't resize small images up to avoid image distortion.

Try them out if you like, and let me know what you think.

Here's a couple of screenshots & links to download them:

Doof

they look grrreat. I've actually started adding lyrics and cover art to my files because of these templates. Can we scroll the lyrics yet, or are we still limited to songs by the Ramones?

Scroll bars work now! Somewhat. They have a tendancy to get hidden behind the Playing Now popup bar. You can actually see that on the screenshot for Modified DJ...

Good job,again, Doof!

Your efforts are like a breath of fresh air (especially after burnings). More seriously, it is empowering to take conrol of the real estate that is your computer screen.  I was born before you (but not before Harry The Hipster).  I remember the original promise of the new software/hardware paradigm.  The idea was that you decided what the product would be after its manufacture.  By changing this new thing called software. But that takes a willingness to document interfaces, publish data structures, and an economic means to enjoy another's empowerment.

IQ, you're a piece of work. Just like the Road Runner. Wily Coyote can never quite catch up with you.

Thanks Hipster!  I wonder how Wily Coyote is doing these days.  Last time I looked, was not yet quite ready for public domain.

How are you doing Jim?
