Unable To Burn CD's
« on: February 27, 2003, 12:22:10 am »

I've tried so many times to burn a cd using Media Jukebox and have no luck at all. I've removed all other burning software from my computer incase it's causing the problem and it's still no better.

If I try a direct burn, I come up with this code:

Error Numbers 1051/Error data is: KEY: SASC: 21 ASCQ: 17

If I try to do it on a test run only (without burning the disk) I get this code every time:

Error: 'WRITE' command failed on device 0:1:0
Read/Write Error or bad medium detected (04h 00h 02h 03h 02h FFh)

I've tried checking and unchecking the generic driver option, minimising the speed down to 1x, I can't think of anything else to try... can you help???

I'm running MJ on Windows 95, so ASPI is already installed, but I did use the link from MJ to make sure it was up-to-date, which it was.

I've also been through everything on the FAQ list of suggestions for burning, doing them independantly & together, and nothing works.

Open to anyone suggestions, before it drives me to distraction  :'(

well windows 95?

I think that is a problem, someone else also reported it did not run with the Out dated and no longer supported Os "Windows 95"

thats like 8 years ago.
