Does JRiver, version 19 need a program like  AnyDVD HD to rip a Blu-Ray?

So I loaded AnyDVD - the trial version - and ripped a movie.  When trying to play it, the screen is blank. JR time indicator is moving as if the movie is playing, but no sound and no visual.  The Audio path is as follows:

Input: 48Khz 32 bit 6-ch input from source format DTS
Output:  48Khz 24 bit 6-ch using Direct Sound (not  a Direct Connection)

Try toggling between Red October Standard and HQ in Options > Video.

Also, try updating to the latest video drivers.

The method should work. At least it does for me. But you have AnyDVD HD, right, not just AnyDVD?
