Can't Remove .jriver directory
« on: November 23, 2013, 08:53:30 pm »

When trying to delete the .jriver directory in /home/user/.jriver I receive the following error:

rm -fr .jriver
rm: cannot remove `.jriver/Media Center 19/Log.txt': Input/output error
rm: cannot remove `.jriver/Media Center 19/Temp': Input/output error
rm: cannot remove `.jriver/Media Center 19/Library/lock.jmd': Input/output error

Any ideas?

I've uninstalled MC on this machine.

Check to make sure there aren't any stray MC processes.
If not I'm thinking you actually have what it says, a disk i/o error.
Type dmesg

I think you were right on. I just wiped the drive and in the process noticed the BIOS said Unknown Unknown for the disk name when selecting boot device.
