Reference Level Calibration Question
« on: November 19, 2013, 01:02:19 pm »

I've been going through the Volume Levelling and Reference level Calibration threads/guides and have a question on how the Reference Level Calibration should work when using my Denon 3808CI Receiver.  I ran the Audessey Calibration on it for my levels and distances etc.  Do I still then need to use the Reference Level Calibration?  As well, should I still be using Internal Volume rather than System Volume?

I really wish there was a guide on how to configure your system to get best sounding playback when using a good receiver or DAC etc.  Everything seems to be in bits and pieces that you need to hunt for.  Something with Step 1, Step 2 etc.  It does really get a bit frustrating as much of this stuff seems to be well understood by a few bunch of the posters here and not us laymen...
