All bands that start with the word "the" are in T in the library

Is there a way to ask the search to ignore the first word "the" when listing artists? The Beatles are not in B but in T, the Zombies are not in Z but in T, the Doors are not in...
I can't be the only one with this problem, or did I miss an obvious set up choice?
