Memory usage can spike if MC is doing something in the background (thumbnailing or analyzing files, for example), but it will return to normal.  I don't think there is a problem in this build.

This version has memory leaks. I can see the memory increasing forever in Activity Monitor until finally I get a dialog box saying I ran out of memory. I started the program less than 5 minutes ago and it already says 3.23Gb. But still growing. Forever. Please look into this.

Not even 10 minutes later... 4.91Gb of used RAM. I'm going back to the previous version. Please address this issue as this version is unusable in OS X 10.8.5.

I got a pop up warning saying MC 19 has used too much application memory. This has never happened to me in the past with any other build.

I got the same out of memory message.  After this, all I heard was noise.
