Hy all 8 is going great here. Can some one remind how to do that tweak that repoints MJ to moved files. Everything is being moved to the new Firewire Drive.The laptop is being freed up for more mundane stuff. I just got it last night The 80giger and it it id Formated NTSF I am running XP pro on a Dell Inspiron 8100 with 512Mb ram. a rooting tooting machine.  Next Page

File Properties -> Tools -> Find and Replace -> Location (i.e. c:\Music\ with f:\Music\)

OR

Select All -> Right Click -> Move/Copy Disk Files

400|PLS| files repointed in about 30 secs. That is a terrific piece of funcionality added to MJ
Keep up the good work.  
Scronch I bought dell direct (online) in Ireland. I paid an arm and a leg for it Next Page
about IR£2500 includes the ram which I bought from Crucial.  The 80gig drive I bought from MacandMore another online purchase. the other leg I spent on that so now I am legless and happy Next Page
I think I am on the pigs back with  this machine I have hardly looked at the desktop since I bought it
I run A  dual boot W2k and XPpro. W2k for Sound editing XP for everything else.

Sorry, I meant what'd you pay for the firewire drive.  I run W2k Pro, and love it.
