Recording reset to 0 after 4 seconds
« on: February 25, 2003, 05:54:56 pm »

I am trying to record from in-line source. it records fine, but when I start the recording it starts recording and after 4 seconds, it reset to 0 and then starts recording. It does this only once and as a result I always end up missing 4 seconds of the song at the begining. I have disable auto split tracking and other parameters, but seems nothing has worked so far. Thanks for your help.

MJ's never started/stopped Line-In recording very accurately. So I always pad the beginning (by starting early) then use Media Editor to trim. It would alway run long so I'd trim the end, too. Did you uncheck the "Wait for sound before starting recording"? Could also be comp speed related...?.
