Track Duration incorrect when using Copy mode to split cue files
« on: December 24, 2013, 03:42:56 pm »

Help with a problem please.

When using the Rename, Move, Copy command in Copy mode to split cue/flac files into individual tracks, the duration of every is set to the duration of the entire album.  Am I doing something incorrect?  Is this a bug?

Thanks.  Steve

I normally do a file conversion to split them. (from one lossless format to another)
Of course you probably wouldn't want to do that if you're using lossy files.

It' a bug, and it was reported a while ago.  Hopefully it will get resolved before the end of v19.

Also, if you move or copy the tracks designated by a cue file, the resultant files are actually the full original flac file with the track tag info, but each new file is the exact same as the original full file.  Obviously this is not good/correct.

I think I'd prefer to just permanently break up the full files into individual files, and not continue dealing with the cue file issues, but currently MC can't do this correctly.

Thanks for the heads up.  I thought it was only the track duration tag that was wrong, I didn't notice that the flac file was also not split up....  Now that uses a lot of disk space.   :o  Steve
