Choppy video and out of sync audion on MKV files with VC-1 codec

Hello,

I am having choppy video and out of sync audio when playing mkv 1080p files with VC-1 codec.

Please help or point me to existing thread.

Win 7 Ultimate, i5, 8gb RAM, 1 gb nvidia optimus VC, 7200 rpm hdd.

One recent video problem turned out to be a problem with the antivirus software.

I'll turn bitdefender off and give it a try.

Just curious why and what antivirus does to the stream.

Just curious why and what antivirus does to the stream.

bitdefender does nothing to the stream
this might be the problem : 1 gb nvidia optimus = usually to weak on vc1 specially if interlaced and using madvr.
and like JimH says in the post above "One recent video problem turned out to be a problem with the antivirus software."

I think a nvidia 660/760 is highly recommended for madvr but you can try this :
Tools>Options>Video>Custom Video Mode Settings>Video Renderer and select : Enhanced Video Renderer
this might help :)
