Is there a way to force gizmo to go through all the categories in a customized view?

I've noticed gizmo will skip categories if there is only album that fits that criteria.

For example i've setup a customized view so that it is like such.

Audio > Source > Genre > Artist > Album (Year)

Now if there is only one album in a particular genre, as soon as I click that genre it brings up the album song list, it completely skips over the artist selection and album selection.  I understand that I would end up in the same spot regardless but I would still rather be able to click that genre, select the one artist and select the album without gizmo skipping over it all.
