I've been trying and reading on this to figure it out and never managed to understand how to do it.  I did create a TV smart list that works.

All my guide EPG info is available and downloading correctly for both my OTA and STB channels   I only see it in the guide of theater view or under the TV pane. What I want is for it to be viewable either in the smartlist or while watching TV in theater view.
How do I do that?

When you watch TV in Theater view, the video takes up the entire screen.  But you can return to Theater view to look for the info, then return to display view.

While video is playing, you can see what program it is playing (program name) by using OSD (on screen display).  Simply press down arrow (on keyboard or on remote control) to cycle through different pieces of information.

Hi Yaobing,

First option to get out of Theater view to get program info is one of the main reasons I still use Sage vs JRiver.
Option 2 is exactly what I'm referring to. The only thing missing in the OSD when you scroll (everything else is great) is the TV Program description.  Knowing what's playing next is fine but I'd rather have the current program description.  You need to go back to the guide to get it which is a bit cumbersome.
Any way to customize it or add as a feature?  What's being downloaded with EPG and the whole concept of playlist seems to be kept separate? Am I wrong or there is stuff I don't understand?

I'd love to eventually get away from Sage and only use JRiver for all my needs...

I've been pushing for the "i" button on remotes to bring up some form of information - program description, start / finish times, age rating, etc for ages but it continually falls on deaf ears...

I'd be exstatic with just getting back the press down and see what is playing function, why this was removed still baffles me. one should be to see what it is they are actually playing without having to leave display view.

Down arrow to display OSD is still there.  It has not been removed.  Unless you meant something else?

this has been gone since version 17.... while in theaterview/display view when watching a movie, or listening to audio, if you hit the down arrow, the first option in 17 use to be showing the title of what was playing, then if you hit the down arrow a second time it would show the position of movie/track, then it would show volume, then aspect ratio etc.

versions 18 & 19 do not have the option to see what the current track is anymore, so one must guess. this is really troublesome when watching music videos, or playing songs shuffled because once the song is done playing if you hit the down arrow, you will not have a clue who the current artist is. you MUST leave display view and go back to playing now to see what is playing.. it's been a PITA for our family since 17.

that gave me hope.. I changed movie to tv to test. but I could not fool mc. I agree with xtacbyme. but I doubt we are on the right adres here.
