I was tired of manually changing over my HDMI input from the TV to the projector, so i got an HDMI switch box (best buy generic).  suddenly...JRiver will no longer play video on the projector!?  i can extend the PC desktop but the video card is reading a weird resolution, which i can reset manually.  Took it back and got a different brand (rocketfish?) and same exact issue. 

sometimes JRiver will play a video but with major playback issues, sometimes not at all.  VLC also has same issues, but the native winamp player will play video without any problems

everything works as it should if i just switch the cables manually.  i'm now saving $ for a 2-output receiver, so this is more of a general interest question, has anyone tried switches and had issues?  if so, did you find a fix?  are there settings in JRiver itself that may be able to assist in the meantime?
