Where Have My ASIO & WASAPI Options Gone?
« on: February 25, 2014, 06:00:49 am »

Hi,

I first installed MC19 a week ago, but since updated to version 117.

I attached an M2Tech Hiface 2 'USB to S/PIDF' converter to enable me to connect my PC to my hifi system. When I looked at the Audio options there were a number of output drivers available, including ASIO & WASAPI: I was able to select these & everything worked okay.

Today, the only option I see is for Kernel Streaming, all the other options have disappeared.

Any ideas where the others have gone & how to recover them?

Thanks...

EDIT: Please disregard; I uninstalled MC19, then reinstalled it & now all the options have reappeared  :)

Sounds to me like the USB driver did not load correctly.
Did you try:
restarting the computer
Clicking safely remove hardware from the system tray and select the USB to S/PDIF un/replug.
checked USB to S/PDIF in device manager
are there any power options for the USB to S/PDIF in either device manager or control panel/power options
Sounds to me like the USB driver did not load correctly.

I see you have it fixed I would still look for the power option and deselect it if found (allow the computer to turn off this device to save power)

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I tried all those, but it didn't have any effect.

I just uninstalled/reinstalled MC19 & now all the options have reappeared.

I have edited my original post to include this info.

Thanks.
