Jut got my North Star Impulso. After install driver and check play back device, every thing seem to be ok

But I have problem to setup JRiver

In JRiver, set Audio = ASIO, Bitstream = DSD -> don’t play file neither FLAC nor SACD file -> Show as below

I try all audio options and it work with WASAPI. All of my audio devices are as below. Two ASIO don't work when set bitstream = DSD

But another problem is, I can't play 6 channels DSD. Error show

I set DSP for channels down mixing  but still show same error message

I think that I should set some thing wrong. Please kindly help me for
1. play any file in ASIO + Bitstream = DSD
2. play six channels DSD file

Thank you for any comment

1. play any file in ASIO + Bitstream = DSD
Check Tools → Options → Audio → Audio Device → Device settings… → DSD Bitstream in DoP format

2. play six channels DSD file
If you have a stereo DAC, you cannot bitstream multichannel audio to it.
Bitstreaming will bypass all DSP Studio options - you need to disable bitstreaming if you want to downmix to stereo.

Thanks for your support.

In JRiver, I tried both ASIO option,

but when I click Device settings, there is no option for DSD Bitstream in DoP format

I delete driver and download the latest driver from North Star web site, but result still the same

It's in the Tools section below "Open driver control panel"
I already click that "Open driver control panel" since day one I get this DAC. But after click, it show "The Select ASIO does not have a control panel"  :'( :'( :'(

It show the same message for both ASIO option from above picture in my post.

Now I find some strange, when click "pause", sound stop but the time still move slowly until end of track and start to play next track with sound again.  :'( :'( :'(

Dear 6233638

Thanks you very much for your kindness. I try that option since day one and it doesn't work  ? (for both ASIO option in above pic)
When I set audio to ASIO and bitstream=DSD, nothing play (mp3, flac, DSD). I try every options already and send email to North Star about this, hope that they will have some solution

Thanks again

I did it!!!!!!!

in manual said that
1) connect the Impulso input at one of the USB2.0 port of your PC
2) your PC will search for new drivers
3) insert the CD-ROM with drivers supplied with the unit
4) the drivers will be installed automatically
This will not work for my Windows 8.1
----------------------------------------------------------
Try to install Setup64.exe in Windows 8 folder on CD ==> Not work
---------------------------------------------------------
Download new driver from web site ==> Not work
---------------------------------------------------------
Just try to install asio_SetupASIO64.msi, this file is locate at CD root folder (doesn't in Windows 8 folder)
IT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ASIO are a mile better than WASAPI

Thanks 6233638 again for your support
