MJ8 doesn't want to recognize my new HP cd/dvd drive

I'm still an MJ8 user and am really pleased with it.

My Problem: My new HP Envy 700-216  running Windows 8.1 doesn't recognize my DVD/CD drive on MJ8.

Help and suggestions would be appreciated.
