madVR fails all of a sudden
« on: March 22, 2014, 09:17:24 am »

For some reason, while madVR Red October HQ worked fine a short while ago I now get an error:

creating Direct3D device failed (8876086c)

Ideas?

Try updating your video card drivers.

I am using the on-board HDMI - no graphics card.  It was working an hour before my original post.

Your onboard video also has drivers.

I am seeing this now on my desktop pc as well. It has always worked in the past. The only thing that has changed is a bunch of windows updates.

Windows updates gels with what may be happening on my side.  I did a shutdown which may well have loaded some Windows updates.  I hate Windows with a vengeance.  How do I update the drivers for the on-board graphics?
