Sleep Timer
« on: March 24, 2014, 06:58:58 am »

I use JR19 now for years but never used any other functions than playing music.
I like to use JR19 to fall asleep and wake up with music. Is there such a function on PC?
I use for this today media Monkey but like to use JR19 for that.

Thanks for answering and if it is not available, thanks for implementing.

There are ways to do this with Windows Scheduler:

MC also has Services & Plug-ins > Scheduler which can issue a Play command or MCC commands to do any other things.

i use this one (only works for standard view.. meaning you have to enable it via standard view) there have been others asking for it for theaterview, but it has yet to be addressed.

I've been using it since version 10 with no problems.
go here chose interface plugins, and then scroll to the bottom http://accessories.jriver.com/mediacenter/accessories.php

I had forgotten about a VBS script I wrote to do a sleep ramp.  See:

Thanks for your replies guys.

As a user, I need a button that is called sleep timer and ideally has a possibility to make some settings such as:

1. Play music for time...in minutes
2. Selector if you want to fadeout music
3. If yes to fadout, select the time when the fadout should start
4. setting for the final volume after fadout in % or dB.
5. what action to take after sleeptimer (standby, sleep, turn off)

Woulkd be good to see this in a soon to come update.

I agree - its geeky and technical, perhaps even hackish.  It is what it is.

At the end of the day, we users, like yourself, just want to make something work, or find a way for others.  Since we can't affect MC directly, we find workarounds.

If you're wanting something now or soon, try the suggestions.  Otherwise your wait is likely to be a long one, as the queue of feature requests is large.  Just my 2c.
