Cover Art stretching?
« on: April 20, 2014, 01:57:37 am »

Hey,

If I actually open Folder.jpg for say the film Elizabeth starring Cate Blanchett (actors name are along the top of the artwork for this one), all the text is fine. However in Theater View the covert is stretching horizontally so it shows as starring Clate Lanchett, whoever she is.

So it's clipping some pixels on both the left and right.

Samples attached. Folder.jpg is the original. Folder1.jpg is how it looks in Theater View.

Is it a dimensions thing? All mine are 465x670.

Tools → Options → Tree & View → Thumbnails → Standardize aspect ratios

Thanks, that was it.

Is this to allow for the fact that online covert art is all different dimensions/resolutions? I manage all mine manually.

Yes, it is.
If you don't manage them manually and ensure they are similar size, it can look rather wild - which is where this option comes in. It should only apply to thumbs, where a few pixels of cut-off aren't that obvious usually.
