Media jukebox not recognizing cover art

(1/1)

Leito:
Hi,

I have some mp3 files with the cover art integrated into the files. The artwork images (jpg) have been programmatically added to the files using a code library (TagLibSharp). The cover art is correctly recognized using Mp3tag, Windows Media Player or PotPlayer, but Media Jukebox fails to display it. Is there any reason why ?

Let me know if I can provide some more information that could be useful.

MrC:
I didn't see any changes since MJ14 that would have resolved this issue.

But it doesn't matter much, as I do not believe MJ14 will be updated in any case (I don't speak for JRiver).

You could try this on MC19.  If it is resolved, then you know the direction to take.  If not, you can report it in the most recent build thread.

Leito:
Yes I understand that MJ14 won't be updated if that's indeed a bug in MJ14. But what I'm more trying to do here is understand why MJ14 doesn't find the cover art in that special case while it can find the cover art in other files. If I knew why, I would maybe be able to change the code that adds the artwork images to my files in order to fix the issue.

Is there some developer of MJ/MC that would be able to look at this piece of code? Is it useful that I post it here?

MrC:
First, have you tried to see if it works w/MC19?  If it fails, you're likely to get some attention on this.  If it succeeds, you'll at least know something was changed since MJ14.

Leito:
No I did not try. Will do when I'll find the time to install MC19. Thanks.
