Not a plug-in for the DUO-64 from Digisett.com - Will one of the other player plug-in's work or do you plan to support the device anytime soon?

Is this a handheld mp3 device?

If so, another plugin will not work.

Yes, this is a handheld device that supports mp-3 and WMA.  When will you support it?  Real jukebox claims to support it now, but that is not a quality jukebox - MJ is.....

Sentryl,

If the Digisette is recognized by your PC as a removable or fixed drive, we should support it now. I doubt this is the case which means we need to get some information from Digisette in order to support the player.  I placed a call to them today, but they are closed for the holiday. I will look into it and see if we can support this player.

Digisette would be very interested in working with you.  Real Jukebox has put their plug-in on indefinite hold.  This is a great opportunity for you guys to get in....

Thanks

Here is the info (email)from Digisette.com

Subj:  RE: Gary Via : DUO MP3 And Duo-Aria Support Request
Date: 2/19/02 11:13:15 AM Central Standard Time
From: support@digisette.com (Digisette Support)
To: garyvia@aol.com ('Gary Via')

Dear Mr. Via,

Thank you for your interest in Digisette products. Unfortunately, the plug
in for Real Jukebox has been put on hold indefinitely.  We have developed
another solution using Windows Media Player to perform the same function.
Using our plug-in and Windows Media Player, it is possible to convert CDs
into WMAs and transfer the files to your player.  The plug-in for Windows
Media Player is available from our website at http://www.digisette.com ,
click on the support center link.

In the meantime, it is not necessary to use the Real Jukebox software to
work with your AR 300. The Real Jukebox software will allow you to convert
songs from your CDs to .mp3 format, then the AR 300 Manager provided on the
installation disk will allow you to easily transfer songs from your hard
drive to the player.

Thanks again for your interest in Digisette products.  Please feel free to
contact us directly at our toll free number with any further questions you
might have.

Sentryl,

Hey a little off the topic here, but I wanted to know what you think of the audio quality from the DUO-64. I was think ing of buying one but don't want to be stuck with a product I am not 100% satisfied with. Rio600 is one of the few MP3 hardware devices I was satisifed with the audio quality from. How does this compare? Any other comments? I would certainly appreciate it.

I like the duo-64, but have nothing to compare to.  I have an IPAQ that also supports wma format and MJ downloads directly.  I look forward to haveing the DUO direct download as does my IPAQ.  The 128Meg should not be a problem.

Good Luck....

Sentryl,

I called them and they asked me to send an email, which I did.  They wrote back that the person who I need to talk to will be in touch. I will pick up the trail tomorrow.

Sentryl,

When you refer to an IPAQ that supports MJ downloads directly, which model, and how do you do the downloads? Does the IPAQ show as removable or are you using one of the Rio Plug-ins?

Thanks,

I am using the pocket PC (windows CE) interface and have an IPAQ 3630 (early edition).  After the download (converts my mp3 to wma (64K) I click on media player and select the song to play.  All works well.  It does take a little time to do the conversion but all works well.
