Could someone please clear up this continually asked question!
« on: February 15, 2002, 02:11:16 am »

I have seen many people (including myself) ask how to store you CD collections info without ripping the CD's. I don't want to store the music on my PC, just the information from CDDB, as I have all my CD's in a Technics Changer. HOW DO YOU DO THIS WITH Version 7.2.280! I have seen people mention right clicks and selecting 'add to library' which I don't have and click 'Devices' which I don't have.

Thanks

P.S. If the above is possible; is there any way I can store the slot number which relates to each CD in may 'real' CD Jukebox?

Hi slikvik,

With MJ 7.2.280, I'm afraid you can't exactly do what you want. But with the fothcoming MJ8, currently beta,
you can. Just Insert an audio CD, wait for CDDB to fill the artist/album/track fields or add your own
manually. Now MJ8 will keep the CD infos under Media Library/CD & DVD.
You can even do the same for DVD (manual editing required).

hope this helps
