No Volume in Win Media Player after MJ Install
« on: February 14, 2002, 06:36:43 pm »

Hey All

I just installed MJ 7.2 under XP and MJ seems to be working fine. However, I have no sound in Windows Media Player. If I crank the speaker, system, and WMP volume then I can hear a faint hint of the sound. Winamp, MJ, RealOne, etc all produce nice sound.

I experienced a similar thing with a previous W2k installation, and suspected MJ, but couldn't confirm. No other changes were made except for the MJ installation this time, so I am convinced ??

Anyone else experience this ? Better yet, anyone with a solution ?

Check you system mixer. (the little speaker icon by the clock)  One of the bands is probably too low.  Otherwise, maybe try Microsoft for Media Player problems, since other players work fine.

Thanks.
