Column Alignment
« on: June 03, 2014, 11:10:31 am »

Numbers right aligning by default.... It seems popular, but me, well, I just don't get it.

Sometimes I load a view and initially, think all there is no data at in that column, then realise that it's all pushed over to the right, butted up against the data in the next column, which is left aligned. I simply don't find it intuitive or at all comfortable.

I like that saved layouts also save the column alignment settings, that's good.

I hate having to individually go through other columns, right click, alignment, left. It's slow, cumbersome and irritating!

Can we have a global option under 'tree and view' to set the default alignment for numbers, which can be over ridden by the right click menu if desired?
Please. :)

You can double click on the line of labels at the top, right on the divider.

There's also an auto alignment setting somewhere.
