I cannot get past the error msg Ipod needs to be intiialized then JRiver will not initalize.
I am running windows 7

The iPod Classics are not very heavily used by many people here anymore, so you'll generally get better responses if you explain your issue in much more detail.  You didn't, for example, even include the error message text in your question.
