Yesterday I was suddenly confronted with an error :

Something went wrong with playback.

Details:
The file could not be opened for read access (error 0).  Check permissions, ownership, and that the file is not in use by another program.

I am running:

Intel Core i5
3,4 GHz
processors:   1
cores:   4
L2-cache (per core):   256 KB
L3-cache:   6 MB
Memory:   16 GB

What could be the problem?

Do you use any other playback software like Audivrana, iTunes etc?  From the information you got its possible one was actively open when JRiver was trying to access the file. Be sure they are closed. Try again.
