I'm trying out the beta builds of MJ8 and came across this.

I select a track to play, click the play button [>] on the player, two seconds later the music starts.

I let it play a while then click the stop button [no keyboard symbol], it fades over the next two seconds (I have it set to do that), the play button turns into a pause button [II] and stays that way for another eight seconds. Finally the play button goes back to normal [>].

I'm checking my settings and stuff to figure out what's up and for some reason, unknown to me, I turn off the DFX plugin. Well everything gets back to fast acting again. I turn the DFX plugin back on, and everything stays fast acting!

Beats me what happened. Just thought I'd share this in case anyone else was experiencing similar behavior with MJ8 betas.

It's at it again! This time with 8.0.205 and with DFX uninstalled.

After I click on the stop button, the sound fades out over 2 seconds, then it's another 5 seconds before the play button changes back from a pause symbol to the play symbol.  Meanwhile, every other function is not available either - can't change between views, move tracks... nothing works until the play button returns.

Is there any chance this is related to the fadeout on stop?

We've seen this bug on one of our machines.  What OS?  What sound card?

It seems to be related to using fadeout on stop.
