 I just downloaded 19.0.146 and I now have my Loki working!  I have the audio device set to front:CARD=device,DEV=0 [ALSA] and no bitstreaming. The output encoding is DSD in DoP format.  Very happy with the results.  The sound settings in Ubuntu - Output: Speakers Schiit Audio DSD device.

One issue that remains and may have to do with Ubuntu 14.04 rather than MC19. I cannot figure out how to make MC19 the default player as it does not show up as a choice when I go to System Settings, Default Applications, Music.
Also I tried converting a flac file to DSD and the results were less than stellar but I have to do more critical listening.
