Lost the covert art display [solved]
« on: June 14, 2014, 06:57:40 am »

Hi,

I've lost the covert art display in the small display windows on the left side of the screen as well as in the "playing now" mode.  I made no change to the covert files location nor the covert art settings and therefore, I don't understand why they are no longer displayed.  All "folder.jpg" files are in the same folder as the album audio files and are also stored in the file's tag.  I'm operating the media server functionality and the problem is the same with the client's PCs.  Surprisingly, with my Android tablet connected using Gizmo, no problem, the covert art are displayed.

Any one having the same problem?  Any clues on what may have caused this change ?

Thank for your help,
Denis

What exactly does "lost the cover art display" mean?  Sometimes the window that displays the cover art get's hidden.  When you look at album view do they have cover art associated with them?

Yes, album view, artist view, genres... they all work fine, it is only the in the "Playing Now" view that it's lost. The software seems to be no longer able to find (or load) the album's associated covert art file in this view and replaces it with the JRiver icon.

The covert art of the playing album was displayed in the "player" tab, where you can select what you would like to be displayed, i.e. Covert art, 3D visualizations, Track info, etc.  Of course, the "Cover art" option is checked, it stopped working and I can't figure out why since I've made no changes ??

I'm still a bit confused.  Do you mean the cover art doesn't show up in either of these places?

Instead it just shows a Media Center logo?

Hello Adam, yes this exactly where it hurts (!), but my problem is now fixed.  I still don't know which parameter was wrong, but who cares now!

I got a new USB external hard disk so I move all my library files to it, modified the file location everywhere it is required and voilą... covert art are now displayed.

Thank you for you interest in helping me.

Regards,
Denis
