Not sure who out there's like minded but the world has currently made it past the 5th stage of the Tour de France and we're now 40km or so into the 6th.
Stage 5 was just nuts. Paris-Roubaix action with half the bunch who barely know what a bump in the road looks like. Crash-freakin-tastic! Just glad it wasn't me. A pity for guys like Froome but I personally think, there's no better test of a General Classification rider than to see how they fare in all conditions. Only a very meteorologically aware person could have predicted such appallingly wet, cold conditions in France in July.
My place is currently subject to a US invasion. Family visit. So, no chance of watch the race live (I could stream to my tablet but I didn't want to stay up late and mess with a small screen). This morning, I was using Gizmo feeding the tablet to watch the Live recording of Stage 5. Sure, there were delays when I jumped ahead but I was able to get what I needed from the HTPC in the living room with the Stars & Stripes contingent scattered amongst the lounge cushions.
Nice work dudes. Works for me ...
