I was listening to music in Theaterview and moved the curser around a bit between Info, Playing Now, and List.

All of a sudden I had the picture of the artist in the background with a somewhat transparent visualization on top. (I think it was the one with the balls that bounce around).... I let it play a while and it continued to play with the picture and visualization.

I then moved the curser around a bit more and the effect quit... unfortunately I can not reproduce it.

What would be the chance of the team at JRiver adding the option the have their built-in visualizations play on top of the backgrounds in Now Playing while playing audio? It is a nice effect in my opinion....

This works now.

Navigate to Playing Now within Theater View.
Arrow down to the "display" area (the big central area above the progress doohickey).
Arrow left/right to select the visualizer.

This works even with Third Party visualizers like G-Force.

Seems as though only local bouncing balls viz is available.
If I use G-Force it covers artists image rather than being transparent (understandable).

Nice to see some progress in this area!
Hopefully changing to other local viz will be available in the future.

Is there any configuration available for this?

I think it uses whatever one was last active in Standard/Display View.

Yes, I have tried changing it.

From Standard/Display view, you can change the viz to whatever, BUT, when in Playing Now mode.... Theater view, the only one that is transparent and can be seen through to background is the default bouncing balls one. Once, you click left or right it opens a window on top of the background that is not transparent. All you can see is the menu text on top and the title of song on bottom... the artist picture is blocked by the viz window.

Would be nice if we could choose from all the internal viz (and have them be transparent), and also be able to choose how sensative it is to the sound.
