Complex Audio Routing?
« on: July 15, 2014, 02:45:18 pm »

I am using a Lynx AES-16 card for BluRay 7.1 audio output. No HDMI audio is used - nor desired.

I also play h264 and MPEG2 .ts streams which are all AC3 DD format.

Is there a way to set up JR to output BluRays through the Lynx channels 1-8 and the AC3 DD through the Lynx output 9&10?

Alternately I could use the motherboard SPDIF in place of the Lynx Chan 9&10 for AC3 output.

What I don't want is for AC3 to be sent out in the Lynx chan 1&2 when AC3 is the only or the selected audio mode. This is because of the way my audio system is setup.

Create two Zones (Right Click Playing Now > Add Zone). You can name the zones Lynx 1-8 and Lynx 9-10 if you want.
In Tools > Options > Audio > Audio Device set the output for each zone to Lynx (ASIO).
In Audio Device > Device Settings set the channel offset for the Lynx 9-10 zone to 9.

Setup ZoneSwitch under Player > Zone > ZoneSwitch.
Create two ZoneSwitch rules. One rule will playback AC3 to the Lynx 9-10 zone. The other rule will playback everything else in the Lynx 1-8 zone. Make sure you set the rule to stop playback in the other Zone.
